The Yot Café sits right on Eastern Beach Road, offering a relaxed spot to enjoy coffee with a view of Geelong’s vibrant harbour. With seating that includes a sheltered awning facing the bay, it’s the kind of place where you can settle in for a laid-back morning or afternoon without feeling rushed. The gentle bay breeze filters through on warmer days, making the spot comfortable even when the temperature climbs into the mid-20s.

Locals appreciate The Yot not just for its coffee quality—served in generous portions—but also for the casual meals that have customers lingering well past their initial visit. From salt and pepper squid to flaky, buttery croissants and poached eggs done just right, the food strikes a good balance between simple comfort and thoughtful preparation. It’s also a place where familiar daytime crowds—like nearby residents or those stopping by after a walk along the foreshore—come for something quick but satisfying, without the usual busy café frenzy.

The atmosphere feels easygoing and quietly tucked away amid the yachts and summer boat activity, yet lively enough to enjoy watching the harbour scene unfold. Unlike many waterfront spots, seagulls don’t seem to be a problem here, which adds to the unhurried vibe. Whether you’re after a well-made coffee, a casual lunch, or just a spot to watch the local harbour life, The Yot Café fits as a comfortable, low-key day-to-day hangout.

Came for a coffee and cake, and stayed for the buffalo wings and beer battered fish and chips. Coffee was a great size, and the view of the harbour was great because of the boats in for the summer. Sat under the roof awning facing the bay and could hardly feel the breeze, but it was welcomed on a 25° day. Was amazed by the lack of seagulls, would have thought there would have been fighting for some chips from the plates. Well worth a visit if you want a relaxing time on a summer day, but visiting on New year's Day was a little hard due to the number of visitors trying to park their car on the shore front Will come again.

Fantastic coffee and superb food. The best corn fritters I've ever had. Eggs were poached to perfection and croissants were crisp, flaky and buttery. Highly recommend.

Came for a coffee and ended up staying for lunch. Great value meals and ceasar salad was 10/10!! Great quiet spot amongst the yachts.

Nice place for lunch that wasn't too busy. Even being a non member, it's nice place and food is decent.
